Has anyone renewed his or her US passport at the US Embassy in Mexico City? Is this possible? With "Homeland Security" seizing citizens' laptops when they return to the country and other things going on during the current regime, I would rather stay in Mexico to renew by US passport (I need it for my FM-2 until I become a Mexican citizen)

Oh my always up-to-date politically interested friend, where have you been?

Never fear though, they have to immediately delete all of your files that they downloaded from your computer... Rolling Eyes ...provided there are no terrorist plots or links on your system of course. Confused

I think I read about it on BBC, or CBC.

Here's the same story with a little more detail:

I'm sure all my Powerpoint flashcards about funiture, rooms of the house, families, food, days of the weeks and weeks of the year are a real threat to the "Homeland Security" of the US. Maybe I'll have my students now read Orwell:P
