Sourcing flights. Anyone flown from Bangkok to Taipei in the last eighteen months? Yes/ No.

From recollection, did you purchase cheap tickets? Presently, the least expensive flight is 6,900 Baht One-Way exc. taxes (CHINA AIRWAYS ). Anyone know of a cheaper flight? I am, of course, able to book in advance. There is one air carrier that does cheap domestic flights, but is grounded for a month, so I am all ears to those posters who have been through the process.

Thank you. (I will be inspecting return flights as this is a mandatory requirement for entry into Taiwan)

return flights are NOT mandatory. i didn't get one and i know of other posters who didn't either. however it is kinda sketchy.
