Hi all,
I just got a recruiting email for a PNET position from Price Memorial Catholic Primary School in Hong Kong. Can anyone tell me about this school and about working at Catholic schools in Hong Kong in general. I'm a non-religious person and I'm a little concerned about the influence and amount of religion in a Catholic primary school in Hong Kong.
Any information about what it's like to work in a Catholic public school in Hong Kong and/or any sugesstions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rob,

I wouldn't worry too much about the fact it's a Catholic school. It would perhaps give you a slight advantage in getting the job (if you were Catholic), but they won't force you to read the Bible at morning assembly or anything like that, if you get the job. As regards finding out about the school, there's been a lot of advice recently on other threads about this, so have a search - I think there's a NET website. You could also ask the school if they can give you the contacts for the previous NET/s.

Thanks for your reply and info. I have gotten the current PNET's email address and emailed him already. I've been contacted by another school as well. I'm also contacting schools on my own.
