I'm looking to do a CELTA Course in the next few months (probably September) with a friend of mine, and given that it would be cheaper for us to do it abroad (I live in England) we have looked at Prague as we have been before and liked it. We would ideally look to teach in Eastern Europe for a year or so and then look to move further afield for another while.
IH Prague's course looks appealing (its expensive but still far cheaper than doing it at home) but I was wondering if anyone has done a course there and could share their experiences, horror stories etc?
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Umm, I wish I could have some info on that too. Although I did my RSA CTEFLA (now the CELTA) some 13+ years ago, my wife is willing to do the CELTA at IH Prague/AKCENT in September. Her father is from the Czech Republic and she wants to live there for a couple of months.
Thanks,
Bruce |

I recently finished the CELTA course at Akcent and would highly recommend them if you are serious about teaching. It's a lot of work and you must be willing to attend class all day and do work in the evenings and on weekends. However, despite all the work, it's really enjoyable and you'll be around many fun, interesting people. |
