The main player in Scottish Independence is still the SNP - of which I am a member. We are heading for a referendum on Independence in 2010. Speed the Day ! |
Well Scotty! You've surprised me yet again! You're an SNP man!
Here we have a man who has spent most of his working life in KSA, has declared himself a resident of Bulgaria, has made disparaging remarks on these boards about our Caledonian homeland.
And now we hear he supports the movement for an independent Scotland!
For G**'s sake man, why should the SNP interest you? |

I think Uncle Scotty does not believe in Britishness! That's why he is an active member of the SNP, and working under the orders of his Uncle Alex Salmond, and it seems they are planning to carry out a coup d'etat against her majesty the Queen in 2010!
Uncle Scotty, the MI5 & MI6 are watching you! |

Dear 007,
You realize, I hope, that the first (and, I'd say the best) to play 007 was Sir Sean Connery.
Sir Sean Connery hails the SNP's Scotland
The star pays tribute to Alex Salmond and the Scottish National Party for creating a brave new Scotland
One of the best features of the SNP government is that it has put Scotland on the international map. Wherever I go, people want to talk about Scotland. As an economic asset, it's hard to quantify in pounds, shillings and pence - but is absolutely priceless.

007 has got it right.
As for sheikradlinrol - Can we take judgments on my sanity from someone who spends his life worrying about how to hit a little white ball with a long stick ? An interest in Golf is not a sign of a healthy mind.
And let me correct the mad golfer. I have not spent "most of my working life in KSA" but a mere 14 years in total spread over my 60-plus years.
Perhaps he should get back to his G and T and 18 holes on the Costa del Ingles. |

You have been working for 60-plus years? So you are 80-plus years old? |

Trap
Banging that head of yours on the keyboard has done it some damage. 14 years working out of 60-plus on Planet Earth. Working life so far approximately 40 years. No plans for retirement. |

| Is this the first thread ever where Scott47 has been likened to Sean Connery/James Bond? |

Sorry, Scotty, but I did get the impression from your posts that you had spent many more than 14 years in the Kingdom. Apologies. I do wonder, however, why someone who appears to detest Scotland and the UK and has set up home in Eastern Europe should worry about the future of Scotland.
I visited Scotland (Glasgow) last September for the first time in 27 years. I have no interest in returning to live in Scotland and may well never set foot in the place again. Therefore, the issue of Scottish nationalism is of no concern to me. Why does it interest you? |

That sounds like a topic for PMs as the rest of us aren't really all that interested in Scotland's politics (no offense... I'm sure it's a lovely place though it has crappy weather...)
