Can anyone tell me about the Working Holiday Visa? I have been offered a job in Japan and I need a working holiday visa, so I have been told. I was wondering if this means that after a year I have to leave the country and can't come back. I was also wondering whether I can only work part time with a working holiday visa? Any advice or info would be great. thanks

Quick answers: the working holiday visa is valid for 6 months, extendable for up to a year total stay except for Australians who I believe get 18 months. You must then either leave Japan or change your status (full working visa, student etc.). Yes, you can come back, but not on a working holiday visa as they are only issued once.

You can work full time on a working holiday visa. It used to be only part time but the regulations have changed.

As above, loads of info on this topic in the FAQs and on the net in general- it's a very well-trodden path.

You'd better learn to do some of the initial research on your own.

Answers to some of your questions depend on whether you have a degree or 3 years of experience.
