|

Hello all. I'm currently doing ESL in Korea but I'm planning on going to Bejing for 8 week after my contract is up and studying a language academy, then returning to the US to look for non-ESL work in China. I'm wondering if this is at all feasible? Has anyone had experience with parlaying experience abroad into a job in China? Would I be better off pressing flesh while I'm in Beijing? It's really been my dream to live in China but I'm not really into teaching as a career. I'm still pretty vague as to what I'd like to do, but publishing sounds like a good start.
Sorry if this belongs in another forum or if it's been covered--I used the search but didn't really find much info. |

press the flesh (mainly American, humorous)
if politicians or famous people press the flesh, they shake hands with the public.

You can shake hands as much as you like but it won't get you an expat job unless you are tops in a certain field.
