Hi everyone,

I posted on this board quite a lot last year looking for EAL jobs in the Middle East and Latin America. I will have a Bachelor of Education in May this year but will most likely look for work either in Calgary (Alberta) or sorrounding small towns, as I have a girlfriend who is in university and we don't want to spend a year apart which is what would happen if I moved to teach English outside of Canada.

I will be applying in public and private schools but would really like to focus on teaching adults and especially immigrants. I was wondering if anyone is aware of any job oppurtunities in Calgary or sorrounding area for teaching EAL adult learners.

Sincerely,
Tomasz Glowacki

LINC (Language for Newcomers to Canada) programs:

TEAL (Provincial affiliate of TESL Canada)

TESL Canada

Other than that, get out he yellow pages and start calling language schools. the Human Resources Development of Canada website is often used by private language schools to find teachers (when they aren't filled through 'networking'). With a B.Ed that should get you started.
