I see ads for these teaching fellow programs all over the US. Are these good programs? Please email me with your comments if you have taught in these programs.

Thanks,
John

These are basically alternative certification programs to fill teaching vacancies in high-need areas of urban school districts.

What has been your experience teaching in these programs? Good support from administration? Good students?

Thanks,
John

....i've checked into it thoroughly, at many different cities.

most of them are very well organized and supported programs.

but, believe me - if you are not good at discipline, class management, bullying, shouting, ...you'll be finished in 2 years. maybe less.

p.s. you don't always have to do the large "website" sites that advertise. you can find pocket programs that aren't advertised. for i.e. the NCTeach program is excellent, but not advertised across the nation.

(NCTeach) is the N.Carolina alternative teaching program.
