An advertising email landed in my Spam box (due to kirilica, I guess) about Cool English Magazine.
http://www.coolenglish.co.uk/index.htm
The address is Eclectic Publishing East Europe LLC, Office 6, Litera A, Kuznechni Pereulok 17/2, St Petersburg, Russia, 191040.

I've browsed through their sample pdfs and I'm quite interested since there's no such magazine in Lithuania. I was wondering if it's real or just a money scam, so could teachers in Russia confirm that? Have you seen this magazine on sale?

I'll start looking for it in Ufa.

What surprises me most is their e-mail adress with the ending co.uk while their address is in Russia.

I emailed them about an international subscription. I got a forwarded email with instructions. One issue subscription costs 8 Euros, cheaper if subscribe to more. They don't say if that includes shipping. I find it rather extreme in price, though.

The magazine is real. I am afraid I don't know much about it though. I know teachers who sometimes record the CD that comes with it.

Cool English is a magazine published by EF Russia. I find it pretty useful in the classroom, with grammar, cultural topics and other articles to use. Hope this helps.

Thank you for all who replied.

We used to have something similar to this magazine in Lithuania, it was called Discover English, but now they stopped publishing it.

I'm glad to have some info that Cool English isn't just a money scam. I still find it too pricey as a specialist literature, though.

I usually use this magazine as a present for my students and they simply love it.

I went book shopping here in Moscow earlier this week after I had checked out the website. It's available at a few bookstores that sell foreign language books. They cost around 130p each and one store had packages of 8 magazines for 350p. Needless to say, I wouldn't rush out to get some as I bought them out. Cool
