Are you looking for a nursery school or full-time day-care? Not the same thing! Many nurseries just do mornings. Often where both parents work the child will go to nursery school in the morning and spend the rest of the day at home with a maid. A few of the nurseries will also keep children on for the afternoons but not all.

Marhaba, Cinnamongirl!

I don't live in Al Ain anymore, but in Abu Dhabi, I pay Dhs 1,700/month for one of the most expensive nurseries. Al Ain is usually cheaper.

Looking at that rate, it would actually be cheaper to employ a full-time nanny, especially for a two year-old.

My daughter's nursery has variable packages for a child of your son's age, but this is not often true.

Hopefully, someone will post something targeted at the Al Ain market.

:--)

Hi
Stepping Stones is about the best you can get in Al Ain. They operate from about 7.30 - 1400 though if you wanted to pick up later they may have someone on their books who could cover for later if needed. The facilities are exceptional and the teachers well trained and experienced. My daughter went there all last year and loved it.

There is also the House of Colours nursery attached to the House of Arts. No idea what is like but both seem to suck in the many young expat kids as nursery and music lesson fodder with some excellent teachers.

The House of Colours manager has lots of experience, she set up several nursery schools in KSA before she came here. Don't know what it's like though (kids too old for that stuff!)

Are you looking for an English language school or can your son handle an Arabic school? There are a good number of daycares in Al Ain reasonably priced that are Arabic medium.
