| So the trick is this . If you are asked to make up holiday classes on a Saturday you tell them you are Jewish and can't work the day. If you are asked to make up classes on a Sunday you tell them you are Christian and it is a day of rest for you. |

Here is the official SAFEA regulation, in Chinese...article 17, item one grants two days off for Christmas: http://www.safea.gov.cn/content.php?id=12742267
I don't even bother asking for permission anymore. I just announce to my students that FTs are entitled to two days off for Christmas and I will see them after the holiday. I've never had a problem. We shouldn't have to negotiate for something which we are already entitled to. |
