I don't get this - she is a good administrator and she doesn't respect the staff?

She's not fit for the job and should not be in post.

sleepwalker,
some people get (and sometimes subsequently keep) their jobs in kuwait
through connections
or because they interview / kish ash better than they teach/manage
or because they lie on their resume
or because they - ah - 'interview' better than they teach/manage
or because they (in some small number of cases) fit a quota

i can name several who fit the above who work or have worked at auk or throughout kuwait.

you sound shocked/confused?....welcome to kuwait

LOL; duh...a relatively high proportion of administrators, perhaps particularly in the Gulf, are generally not 'fit for the job'. For whatever reasons, they ARE in the job, and while ranting and raving about the injustice of it all rarely achieves their demise, it can be kinda therapeutic, I suppose... Idea Wink

It's too bad that people like this abound in the EFL world of management.
They give the rest of us a bad name. If administrators don't respect their staff and colleagues and resort to name calling, then why should we wonder that they are hated and feared? People who insult others verbally clearly have a problem with themselves. Insulting other people and name-calling is the sign of a warped personality.
