Good post.
One of the only things I really love about China (besides my gf) IS my job. I like my students and I put a huge amount of effort into teaching them about 'life' beyond the English language. My school management is also OK. If it wasn't for my gf and teaching job I would have been out of here long ago (medical system, poor hygiene, dirty habits, road users and lack of courtesy/care for each other). In Asia I've traveled to Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan and Bali. Though I love Bali and Vietnam, I don't know how much I'd LOVE them if I actually worked and lived in these places...as a tourist everything looks wonderful. I'm positive China is not for me and will be leaving in a few months...but I'm happy I came. I've learnt so much being here.
My advise to Kirkpatrick would be to go back to a place that you DO like...plain and simple.
Cheers and good luck.

Frankly, had a few dates but chinese girls are rather lame.. Like I am going to give you 6 months free English and not even a kiss.. Hell no... They can go play their song and dance on some newbie.. Not this cowboy... I will be off to Laos at the end of next semester.. Oh yea, the boss will get zero notice.. blacklist my ass I don't care anymore... China isnot the ceter of the universe...

Kirkpatrick,

You have the right attitude. You are actually one of the mentally healthy people on this board. Good luck.

No he doesn't and no he isn't.

From reading his 'whingeing' posts he seems to me to be a bit of a nightmare to know or work with, and for an English teacher his spelling is pretty awful at times. Rolling Eyes

My exact sentiment though I would have to modify it by adding two letters:

no!

My heartfelt advice to K is to go home and recover, lick his various wounds and grow up. He is not cut for the life away from home or mummy!

No patronising intended - but this is my true feeling!

Why wait? Go now if you really hate the place. If you work until the end of the semester you are actually doing your boss a favor. If you really want to screw the school over, just walk out now.

Interesting. Most trolls confine themselves to one thread about one topic. This one is all over the board with this *beep*.
