This is HK. Thus it cannot be both good and cheap. The YMCA in TST in Kowloon can be reached at: [email protected], and you can see their room rates here:

I think their cheapest single room is around HK$1,000 a night.
If you are looking for real budget (as in backpacker-like) accommodation then you'll have to venture into (the notorious and infamous) Chung King Mansions. You can get a room there in a dorm for only one or two hundred dollars a night. |

I recommend Lee Garden Guesthouse in TST. I stayed there for 2 weeks in 2007 and thought it was pretty good and the price was okay. |
