Wondering about actual day-to-day costs for a long vacation post-contract.

How much do I *really* need to lie on the beach for a month in Thailand or Vietnam? Lodging (no tenting on the beach, thanks!) and food, as well as entertainment (going out, not hiring an escort, thanks!)

I've been warned that I need to finish my thesis *or else* so I'm seriously considering this option. Any assistance/commentary/advice where to go would be helpful.
