I really don't understand the difference between an FM-2 and an FM-3.
Can anyone help me out? |
About a $1000 pesos!
I think it's just a quicker route to inmigrado status (a brown card) after 5 renewals but I believe you can only be out of Mexico for no more than 18 months in that 5 year period. |
And if you're married to a Mexican...
Quote: |
"The second type of special naturalization benefits foreign women and men who marry Mexican nationals. These foreigners must prove they have resided in Mexico in their shared marital home (domicilio conyugal) during the two years immediately preceding the filing of the naturalization application." |
So if you're hitched to a guy or a gal from here and have been here two years... you can be a Mexican, which would make a lot of things much easier. |

As long as you don't start driving like one... I think you need at least 6 months remaining on your FM2 to start that process. Apart from saving money, what benefits does it have over inmigrado status? |
