Hi guys, sorry for the simple question, but I'm looking specifically for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups somewhere in Tokyo. No luck finding them so far, I've scoured a number of import food shops but I only find Kit Kats and Butterfingers. I've talked to a number of natives who've had them and love them, so I imagine there has to be some place to buy them here. It's for a Christmas present for friend of mine and I'd really like to find these for him if I can.

Anyone know of a store in the greater Tokyo area that sells Reese's Peanut Butter Cups?

Have you tried National Azabu in Hiroo?

I am a regular customer at Kaldi and have never seen them there.

There was a foreign shop in Ueno Station. I found a lot of good stuff in there. It's been awhile, but it's near an escalator as you walk out towards Ameyoko. Not the same entrance as the one with a Starbucks, although it's possible it's changed since 2007.

Cherryflakes,
I'm curious, did you ever find any Reeses?

Thanks for the suggestions! I had a chance to check both Costco and Carrefour this weekend, though neither had the candy I was looking for.

I haven't seen that shop in Ueno, even though I go there quite often, but next time I'm in the area I'll look again.

I just had a flashback, and it's right near a really small escalator. One where you wonder why somebody can't walk up 5 steps. At the top of the stairs is one of those coffee shops, Dotour, if that's correct?

Gosh, the names of places goes quickly.

I have never seen reeses peanut butter cups in Japan, and it also struck me as something that would sell very well here.

Hope you can find some though.

Good Luck.

In several years looking for Reese's peanut butter cups in Japan, I've never found them. Did find peanut butter M&Ms sometimes, yrs. ago. On very rare occasions Costco has Reese's Pieces, not reliably in stock. Your best bet for Reese's & other goodies is Foreign Buyers Club, but sometimes you have to order a whole case. Just checked, & they do have a good selection of Reese's. May cost you a lot & take time to get, but at least you can get them.

I recently found another brand's peanut butter cups at Plaza (was Sony Plaza). Not quite as good as Reese's but an acceptable substitute.

I thought about this before, but wasn't sure if it were appropriate. But what the heck... I'm here in the United States, looking at Reeses Peanut Butter cups, Big Cups, Reeses with Caramel, and all the other permutations, every day.
If somebody wanted me to, I could easily put some in a sturdy envelope and mail them to Japan. Should arrive in 5 days for most Japan locations. And in this season, nothing would melt. I'm not out to make money on this -would only need what it costs. Just sounds like something worthwhile to do for the forum, which I've come to enjoy being a part of, so much. I'll only be here for about 2 more months, though. But till then, if anyone is interested...
