Hi, I have never spent much time in Hong Kong but will be accepting a job there. The offer is around 30K/month for salalry and about 7k/month for housing. These numbers are before tax.
Is this enough to both live and save? I am a pretty frugal person, I don't need a full-on expat lifestyle by any stretch. The school is located in the New Territories.
Any advice/info would be appreciated.
Thanks |

Hi Powderfinger,
Love your music. Yep, 37k is plenty to live off. You should be able to live pretty well, and if you're frugal, you should save more than 10K per month, I'd reckon. |

Yes, 37K will provide for a comfortable life for a single person in the NT, with enough left over for saving.
If you are frugal, then you may be able to save more than 15K per month!
