Airfares are insane leaving Japan to HK for this winter. I don't get it, I can find flights to Honolulu, Las Vegas, etc. for around US$1,000....but ones to HK, actually cost more! |

You wouldn't happen to be a Chinese/HK citizen, would you? Then I'd tell you to fly into somewhere cheaper on the mainland then organise connections. One of my friends flew into Shanghai from Japan then we flew Ningbo-Guanzhou and got the bus from there into HK. He got some dirt cheap ticket into Shanghai then our connections all the way to HK cost just over 600 Yuan a head (about 40/person at the time). But of course you might need some form of entrance/transit visa, in which case you would want to ignore this. I'm not sure how it works for through travel because we both had Chinese residence permits.
Granted it wasn't at Christmas, but it was the week of Chinese New Year (not a fun time to have to look for hotels) which is peak travel time since it is also spring break. |

I was looking at expedia, travelocity, and a few direct airlines like ANA and such.
I like your website a WHOLE lot better!
Hopefully the surcharges don't triple it up though! |

I recently got a flight Hong Kong - Osaka return for about 200 GBP from trailfinders, it's with Cathay Pacific. Try them, or have a look at Air Asia. |

I find travelocity etc really expensive for flights out of Japan. Go for the Japanese discounters, like No 1 Travel as above, Across Travel etc. |
