This really sucks for me... I have expenses in the US and my current place of employment is jerking me around on pay.
I can only hope that things settle down sometime soon. |

themadatter, sorry to hear that your transition to the great big city hasn't gone as smoothly as hoped. I know a good school quite a bit to the south east of you that happens to be hiring.... |

Trust me... the Oaxaca system seems quite professional, unfortunately your state is just too rural for my taste... heck I thought Toluca was too provincial.
Love to visit Oaxaca but I really couldnt live there.
Early Sat morning, last weekend, BF and I woke up and just decided to road trip down to Oaxaca City. Shame on him, he had never been there. So we did the tourist route, stuffed ourselves silly and bought a ton of chocolate, mezcal and chapulines (last two for him, I cant handle those)
Dont tell my boss but I got a job interview with the embassy coming up. |

They call it a "cultural assistant" position but it really is for teacher training. No foreign service exam so its not a foreign service position.
I just know that it pays better, has bennies and probably pays on time. Lots of travel involved but thats OK with me! |
