Oh, the Wall Street Journal - oh, in that case, considering how accurate it's been on financial matters. who am I to dispute it?
And as far as "less than" being used with non-countables while fewer than should be used with countable, well, heck, that depends on how much money you have.
Grammar ALWAYS depends on how powerful you are.

Dear John,
I was objecting to the "yet" - in "I have read less than three books on ufo's yet" - I missed the "less than".
Oh yes, grammar depends upon where you come from and I guess "as of yet" must be acceptable Americanish in New Mexico . Mind you I once had a 'colleague' try to persuade me that "you sing good" was perfectly good Canadian English...
Apart from that, how are you?
