This is the same as the situation here when I first arrived. They know who she is. They trust her. They may even worry that someone is bringing back prostitutes to the room.
You could try to introduce your friends to people.
Or try to make friends with the guards. |

This is good advice if you don't want to go the confrontational route. A few packs of cigarettes and a bottle of baijiu now and again can work wonders. |

My school in yinchuan wanted us to sign people in and out. Luckily it wasn't with the doorman it was with the school itself.
We ignored it and brought home whom we pleased. |

I had a friend over once. She was 25 but had her hair in a cute double pony tail arrangement, making her look as old as my students (16). We ate in the cafeteria with hundreds of students and quite a few looked looked at our table in surprise, wondering who the new "student" was that had come over to eat with me. I wonder what they thought as the two of us walked to my dormitory for some luven  |
