Yes, English is a Germanic language, brought by a German tribe called "Aenglaland".
When responding to my perplexed 'level-one' students who are puzzled by, for example, not pronouncing 'K' in ' Know', I always have fun in class elaborating how ' inglizi' is a cocktail language and far from any phonetically structured languages such as Romance languages: French  |
