|
|
Hello,
I would appreciate leads for opportunities for first-time English teachers in the Middle East (Dubai in particular), Thailand, and Taiwan. I have tons of relevant teaching experience at the university, community college, and workshop levels, however, I am not certified nor have I taught English per se.
If anyone has suggestions for legitimate leads be they recruiters, placement agencies, or schools/universities directly, I am looking for a position in the near term, vs. waiting until a September semester start.
Thank you. |

Avoid recruiters. Try looking here at eslcafe.com on the intl job board, telf.com and seriousteachers.com |

What are your quals?
If you have university level teaching experience, and post graduate degrees, a lot of places would be more than happy to overlook the lack of certification.
On the other hand, if you're a genuine newb, the middle east will be hard. They pay at a scale that generally, they get high level qualifications.
I don't know Taiwan, but have heard much the same.
Thailand is the lowest paying of the options you mention, but probably the easiest to break into.
best,
Justin |
