Hi, I'm 27 yr old guy in Bath UK, applied to do a 4 week CELTA course in July and was going to quit my boring IT job to do the course, then hopefully go to somewhere like Thailand and teach. Would be open to any countries in Asia though, haven't ever been (except Hong Kong) so have no idea, but I'd like to be somewhere I can meet at least a few other young travelers as well as mingle with the locals.
My main question, other than 'am I absolutely crazy to be trying to do this?' is whether I'm likely to find work in August? If I was to travel anyway and try to find work while I'm out there, would I be likely to find something by sept/oct sort of time? (might be able to survive til then)
I have no idea what sort of term times exist, and trawling through this lovely forum with my slow internet connection hasn't given me the answer. But from what I gather a CELTA course is quite a good idea if I'm serious about doing this, which I am!
Any advice on any of my ramblings welcome. thanks! |
