|
|
My spouse and I were interviewed for subject matter faculty jobs via videolink a few weeks ago. We both received the "passed interview" email afterward, and it shows this on the recruiting website, but we've heard nothing since. How long does it typically take between passing the interview and getting an offer, or do they just interview a bunch of folks to keep in a hiring pool? |

They are notoriously slow in the Middle East and the hiring processes are a bit of a muddle. (plus they have just done TESOLArabia and TESOL in the US) I suggest that one of you send a polite request wondering if you are still under consideration for next academic year. Remember the weekend is different... give them a few days... and if you hear nothing, the other one of you send off an inquiry.
HCT is normally very good at one thing... telling you promptly if they do NOT want you.

How long is a piece of string?
It can take from a day to months... no way to predict.
