Teachanywhere.com advertises lots of ESL jobs in Arab and Muslim countries such as the UAE, Kuwait, and Brunei, as well as other regions. But teachers don't seem to be able to respond directly to the employer. Rather, we are instructed to contact the regional recruiter listed on the website. I have sent emails to two different recruiters listed there, but I have received no response at all.

What is your experience? Have any of you gotten jobs through Teachanywhere.com? Or have you at least received a response from them? Have you been able to communicate with the schools at all?

Never heard of them. In most of the Middle East (outside of very specific employers in Saudi, Oman, and the UAE), recruiters are not used and not recommended (after all, they just take part of your salary). Choose a country, google up the names of the schools and apply directly.

Thanks. I used to know that, and then I got caught up with these ESL job websites, thinking I would get somewhere with them.
