| I was sent by my school board to interview for a position teaching a subject that I knew nothing about and didn't pretend to know about. The last question of the interview was, "Do you think you're lucky?" It wasn't said in a way that is as rude as it sounds in writing. I should have said, "I'll let you know at the end of the week." However, luckily I wasn't offered the job. I ended up at a school that has a much better reputation, teaching in my specialty area (ESL and Language Arts). |
