Is it possible to use my laptop at a public library, university, or coffee shop to surf the Internet as I can do in the U.S.? I'm thinking of a larger city like Nagoya.
Thanks! |

Ah, no.
(Actually, you /can/ at some coffee shops, but they're few and far between. Libraries?! You've never been to Japan, have you?! <heh> Libraries... I think I saw a public library in Japan once, about seven years ago. It was smaller than my current house...) |

BZZZZZT!
You are as wrong as wrong can be. Head on over to WiFinder and do a search for Japan. You'll find tons of freespots. |

Eh?
I thought the libraries in Japan were great and fairly decent in terms of size too.
As for academic libraries, I was spoiled for choice in the Nagoya area.
You may need to get out of your current house more |
