Does anyone OUT there know whats happening at ADEC?
What are their plans for Sep 2009?
From what I have picked up, they are using Teach Anyway to hire Teachers to take over the PPP projects. (Well at least those that have finished).
What well happen to the Model schools project?
MAG project?
and any other project they got coming out under their hat? |

PPP - Public Private Provider/s
MAG - Madares Al Ghad - MoE project similar to the PPP objectives
I think ADEC is trying a new method - they're hiring teachers for the early primary years with the intent that English introduced at that level is going to be more successful than its introduction into secondary school programs. I think they're probably right. But then why the drop in Foundation Program staff at the tertiary level? |

I'm not sure it's a PPP4 carlen. I think it might be more like a first move into more secondary schools. |

It seems for sure that secondary schools will be handed out in Sept. Many providers are franticaly looking for teachers NA, CfBT, SSAT, Congnition. Some of these providers, well I should say one in particular is very confident eventhough they have a very ugly past experience. |

CfBT's past ugliness is what makes it behave as though it's confident about the future. If their middle management staff don't project that "image", what hope do they have of hiring decent staff. Past history of CfBT can be summed up in a sentence - If you're any good, CfBT gets rid of you asap. Why? You wreck their track record of aiming to be the worst possible PPP provider. |
