Does anybody know a good insurance broker in Warsaw? I don't mean an agent (who can only sell me insurance products from a single company), I mean a proper broker who deals with a range of companies. If that broker speaks English, that's much better.
Failing that, anybody know of any insurance companies which do insurance policies for cars that are not used very much? I only do about 5,000km a year in my Mini but right now I pay the same amount as somebody who drives 50,000km a year! |

Hey there,
Try this one as a Polish version of the many, many insurance comparison websites you see in the UK and US: http://www.wygodnie.pl/
Good luck! |

Sweet, I have Cooper S John Cooper Works but I'm tired of the stiff suspension, costly repairs, and it being basically a one maybe two person car, so its for sale. On the other hand Im going to miss being the fastest *beep* on the road. |

I looked long and hard at the Cooper S but decided that the suspension was too stiff to deal with Warsaw roads. Hit a bump while cornering and it's going to throw you out!
I have used the car as a proper four-seater. A friend and I went for a long weekend in Mazury with our girl-friends and everything fitted no problem. But it did help that both girls were five foot four.
I was considering a Mazda MX5 folding hard-top, but now the Zloty's in the toilet I'll be keeping the Mini for a few years more. |

It is to stiff, plain and simple. The handling is superb but being able to hit a tight turn at 80kmh isnt worth it. Ive had to repair the suspension 3 times the past 8 months.
Ive also used the car as a 4 seater for a daytrip from wroclaw to dresden but id say that about does it. Since I need to haul around a lot of stuff at times and want to start taking long drives throughout europe, I decided on a station wagon. Enjoy the mini and hope youve got a local mechanic that can repair it, stay clear of any authorized bmw garage. |
