Sometimes, an intelligent person believes that, in order to achieve things in life, they must play by the rules.
For every Einstein there is a Shakespeare. He did not work on the outskirts of society, poring away over books and inventing new systems. He used what he was given, excelled within the structure of society and literature.
His sonnets are a perfect example. This was a tried and tested, some would say worn-out form of poetry. But he injected a new life into the existing form. Excelled within the constraints and rules. |

If nothing else it is the easier way. |

Are you saying Einstein didn't "play by the rules"? You don't know Albert very well. |

Sorry. Know when you're just having one of those days?
I know nothing about Einstein. I don't even know much about myself. |

I'm graduating with honours and I have been on the dean's list recently. Looking back, I wish I had spent more time at the campus pub!

| Sorry for being ON TOPIC. To the OP: Since all of the countries you are interested in are relatively close to one another, why not take a few weeks and travel around and try to get a feel for the places? If money is not an immediate issue (lucky you), you can afford to be a little choosy, make a few contacts, hand out CVs, and get a general idea of the teaching/employment/living situation. The whole job hunting process is so much less stressful when you are not desperate for a job. It also helps if you set some goal for why you want to be there or what you hope to accomplish while living there. |

Good advice parrot,
That is perhaps my best option. See a few places, get a CELTA, and decide which one takes me fancy. I do have savings, but that is all my stash in the world. My rainy-day fund.
The MA is causing the serious indecision. It is such a fine balance. On the one hand, continuing my education, on the other a large cost. Freedom and a fresh-start, or retaining discipline in a way I know'll work. |
