Hello All,
Does anyone use a web hosting service here in Poland? Or can recommend one or have any experience in dealing with this? I need to get a company website up and running in the future but more importantly I need to get a proper email address set up asap.
It's not very professional having yahoo.co.uk or gmail.com or hotmail.com on you business cards is it?
Ta muchly in advance and I hope everyone gets their eggs blessed tomorrow |

Once you have your account, you can do your stuff in English. Their rates are quite good.
Good luck. |

Thanks for starting this thread Mr. Sp. I've got a janky little wp website up, but I'm running it off of dreamhost (a California hosting provider) so it's a .com not a .pl.
Setting up a POP or IMAP account can be simple in some cases or it can be an enormous pain in the ass (try setting one up using entourage for mac for example!).
One of the things I like about DH is they've got a deal with google in which google will host your email. So you can have an @yourdomain.com and run it through gmail. You don't have to configure anything. I love it. Do any of the .com.pl providers do that? I'd be interested to find out. (Don't mean to sound snobby, here, I'd actually like to know.)
The professional issue is another matter. I don't really mind having @gmail.com on my biz card, but you might be on to something. I guess the best thing is to ask some Poles. My domain name is too long and unusual. I kept the gmail address for simplicity's sake, even though configuring an @mydomain.com would only take me about 5 minutes. |
