Since its my first time in SA. Can someone tell me if 6000 SAR is a unacceptable salary in Saudi Arabia for someone with a MA in ESL and years of experienc?????

Well, the above salary is not only an insult, it is an act of 'crime' against teachers with an MA in ESL, especially if you have got blue/green eyes!. Laughing

Interesting, considering that I dont have blue or green eyes but brown eyes with brown skin and curly black hair.
So lets be real whats the real issue in SA????
I would appreciate the honesty!!!!

Well, I am honest with you.
Because you do not have blue/green eyes, and your skin is brown with curly black hair, and may be you do not hold the RED/BLUE passport of Uncle Sam/Brown, they offered you that salary!

Well, I am honest with you.
Because you do not have blue/green eyes, and your skin is brown with curly black hair, and may be you do not hold the RED/BLUE passport of Uncle Sam/Brown, they offered you that salary!


Trust me my passport is blue. The university is a new one and wont officially open until 2010. So is your answer still the same???

Are you sure you have been approached by a Saudi uni directly or through a contractor?

6000 is not even acceptable by a non-anglo-saxon looking native speaker with no experience or TEFL- related cert. in a new dodgy language school in a rural part of SA( well! unless really really desperate).
