|
|
Has anyone worked out the lowest possible salary for KAU? I have BA Post Grad Cert Ed, Master's (not English) CELTA and many years teaching exp but not straight forward EFL jobs. I have still been offered a post but would not be able to get letters of experience ( except from myself!!) I have my own school. |

- Basic 4080 SR
- Non-university teaching experience after BA: 157 SR per year ( in your case, say you have three years : 157 * 3 = 471)
- 471 + 4080 = 4551
- 4551 + 85 % of the above (3868)= 8419
- 8419 + 500 transport = 8919 your monthly pay
Correct me if I am wrong mates!! |

Naw, naw, naw! I jes' wanna know where to line up for this great position in the liberal, liberal, free, live and let live, why can't we all get along, pork-munching, alcohol-guzzling, I am Woman Hear Me Roar, I need my employer's permission to go more than 50 kilometers from my place of employment, the saudis at the checkpoints will inject you if you don't have proof of a meningitis vaccination, O.K. I understand that it's rancid Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee pizza mix but we won't give you your money back...go find something else for the same amount of money, the public pay-phones won't work because it's prayer time, Ma'am you'll have to go outside of the Tamami market into the 50C heat in your abaya for 20 minutes because it's prayer time...
Yeah! Jes' where in the h*** is the line forming!

Dear littleoldlady,
As you may have noticed, NCTBA's time in the Magic Kingdom left a deep and lasting impression on him (I hear he still occasionally wakes up screaming.)
I'd say freesoul's figures are about on the money (so to speak,)
Regards,
John |

P.s.- The vitriol jes' hasta get out once in a while. That way, the system doesn't get poisoned and those who may not have any idea of what has and is going on there has a small peep into what they may be getting themselves into...deep breath...deep breath... |

John I know how he feels. I still wake up screaming at thoughts of being in Iran - wasn't the country - it was the husband.... EX |

You're right, John. I've always admired your way of coping...not a better, but a different man than I. Kudos, sir.

NCTBA wakes up screaming? Really?
A veteran of Vietnam and Tora Bora wars screaming! Unbelievable!
Well, I think I have a cure for his screaming and nightmares.
I suggest that he takes hot camel milk (the camel should be black in colour) mixed with Zangabeel and Yemeni 100% pure honey for 30 days.
I never ceased to be amazed how NCTBA escaped Tora Bora! |

I traveled just north of Nuuk, Greenland, then over to the Rub al-Khali, then tiptoed through the tulips just west of Schipol, and, currently, hold for it...hoolllld for it, now posting on Dave's!

Presumably outside the Time Machine since most of what you say is no longer true. |

Yes, Stephen, you are right...it's quite the paradise now. You need to read a bit more than word-deep. I had a longer post towards you...but no, I thought better of it, so, like a spider, why don't you draw them in deeper and deeper into your Kingdom of Humanity. Sometimes, you just can't talk someone offa a ledge!
