If you work in a University, that will mean you have to pay full price for your son to go to an International school, a huge expense.

With your qualifications and having a wife and kid I would start out by checking into what International schools K - 12, have to offer. The most important thing to find out about is where your son will go to school and will it be in English and how much it will cost?

If you get hooked up with an International school, say in Taiwan, find out if you will get any teacher discount on tuition for your son.

Are you a certified/licensed teacher?
Most International schools that pay big salaries require that you are certified. There are some countries that do not. Indonesia is one of them.

Not always. There are some unis in the Middle East that will provide educational allowances.
