Oh dear...another one bites the dust.
However, I agree with parts of your comment. Now Singapore has such a low birthrate and more and more foriegn labour is requred, there seems to be a corresponding raise in racist attitudes. The Straits Times STOMP and Forum section online is extraordinarily racist, mainly against mainland Chinese. Dark stuff.
Singaporeans are very unsure of where they are supposed to be in the world. Chinese? Western? Asian? No idea, and so slag everyone off. |
