I'm surprised nobody has pummeled this guy if what has been written here is true.

Are foreigners generally successful when trying to sue their Saudi employers?

Are witches generally successful in their claims of supernatural powers? That answers your question!

While your writings of International House Saudi Arabia are True......I think you are being tooooo kind to S Al Q. He deserves much worse.

I worked there for a couple of years.
There WAS one guy from South Africa who chased him around outside the building in Dammam trying to catch him and tear his head off but could not catch the slippery little rodent.

This same teacher when asked for his passport told them "Take it"... Of course they didn't try anything. Why" Becuse you can now get a multiple exit/re-entry visa on the bridge.

ALSO. S. Al Q got his DOS from Jubail to write his Doctoral Disertation on TQM in Education. He couldn't write it but wanted the credit. He's a cheater in Educational Issues as well. I think the paper got rejected and they told him to sod off and try again.

A dismal place to work to say the least.

There have been numerous attacks against S AL Q - but most teachers are now trying to focus on getting him disaffiliated from IH- while exposing the fact that he employs teachers paying them a pittance while they work on important contracts like SCECO and YANPET etc.
There is a reason why teachers REFUSE to work and why IH is unfit to hold down any kind of major teaching contract.
Really, the DOS wrote his thesis for him? That's just pathetic.
Teachers despise S AL Q and if he was simply banned from Britain- that would be the best thing.
Good luck to you Beast!

What's this business of his that "your embassy can't help you?" Even if he has your passport, there is an American consulate in Dhahran. I am sure there are consulates of other Western nations nearby, and I know that Saudis are generally afraid of the Western embassies.

Actually, the poster should have used the model "won't". 'Merican diplomats "won't" go against their oil-baron masters. U.S. diplomatic missions would be better characterized as "glorified trade missions". They make it crystal clear to U.S. expats that they can give out a list of lawyers and are even kind enuf to visit poor misfortunates behind bars...but, they WILL NOY interfere with the process...bad fer bidness, doncha know!

It irrates me when Hollywood sends out the exact opposite message as reality dictates in such movies as Richard Gere's "Red Corner". Nothing could be farther from the truth! Evil or Very Mad

Hmmm, not astonishing as a few weak students ask their maids to write their essays for them.

This is true of US Embassies in every country... not just the ones with oil. They are trade/military missions... US citizens with problems are a bother that they prefer to ignore. They are very good at that BTW...

As S AL Q is a doctor (ha ha ha), looks as if his DOS in Jubail earned his 30 pieces of silver. Beast does the university have any idea what went on with this?
The bs about your embassy not helping you is just to keep IH's slaves in their place, although there are plenty of examples where IH teachers have literally been penniless and forced to threaten writing to the newspapers before anything is done, at which S AL Q reacts like a cornered rat and throws the passport in your face. Like all pathological bullies, S AL Q is also the PERFECT coward.
This is done to 'cut teachers' off from any possible source of emotional, let alone legal support. Remember- we are dealing with a sick controlling psychopath here who has run amok under the IH franchise for years.
S AL Q is a species of human vermin.

I think it says a lot when not a single teacher currently serving in IH made any effort to defend their organization. That silence says more than you all think: S AL Q's abuse has got these guys scared out of their wits.
The best way to assist those unfortunates still TRAPPED by S AL Q is to keep getting the word out.
