Hi everyone,
Have been reading these boards for a while but have just joined and this is my first post...
I did my CELTA course in Prague last month (so only just qualified) and got a Pass B, I have a degree and I have a couple of weeks experience of assisting in a UK primary school.
I ran my own business for 4 years, so I'm finding it relatively straightforward to get jobs in schools where there is a focus on teaching business english, despite having no formal training in this area.
My main interest however is teaching children, but after trawling the job sites since I've been back, I'm struggling to find many jobs where you teach children. I also need it to be in Europe as I need to fly back at some point to do my interview for my PGCE!
If anyone has any ideas/tips/sites they can give me I'd be extremely grateful.
Thanks everyone! |

Lots of people are teaching English to children here in Poland. I'm amazed that you aren't finding that the case everywhere. Come to Poland.
Most people would prefer to teach adults. Teaching children is much harder, IMO, and lots of parents are willing to sacrifice for their kids' future. |
