In most cases, I don't think people would reapply to a company if they got turned down or rejected at the interview.
How about for BOE ALT or JET positions ? Has anyone tried to reapply for a position which they were turned down previously ? Do the BOEs hold onto your resumes and records to check you had applied previously (I would expect they do if you had been accepted, but what about those applicants turned down, do they shred the papers) ?
How long are records kept at the BOE ALT /JET ? |

JET Programme: It's an excellent gig but...they only recruit once a year(Nov. or Dec.). If you're rejected you can apply again but you have to do the application rigmarole right from scratch again. Be aware that if you're over 40, your chances of being accepted are about the same as the Dodgers moving back to Brooklyn. Go to JET's website. My own experience: I applied for JET once & was rejected. I tried again 4 yrs. later & was accepted.
BOE ALT jobs: Wow...didn't know they still existed! Or do you mean the dispatch companies(e.g., Interac)? If you're rejected by one of those, it's pretty unlikely they'll keep your docs on file. My gut guess is wait 6 mos. & try again. Rejected twice? Forget 'em.
Do you really want a dispatch co. job?! Your choice.... |

According to the JET FAQs:
Applicants are eligible if they...
9. Not have declined a position on the JET Programme after receiving notification of placement in the last JET Programme year. However, exceptions to this rule may be made in cases where it is determined that the participant has a valid, unavoidable reason for withdrawing.

I applied for JET in 1994 and was turned down. I applied again in 2005 and 2008 and was accepted both times. |
