Can anyone tell me or explain what the HKCAAVQ IS ? and is it necessary to apply for it to get a job in HK. what is the standards ?

Is 100 hours of tesol a must, in most school or esl jobs in HK ?

You don't have to apply to it but if you want a NET job you have to have your qualifications accredited by it before you get the job.
For a PNET job you have to have a TESL qualification approved by the EDB

They are very strict in their needs. They wanted to see certificates of mine from 25 years ago, from an examination body that is now no more.
