I would like to come to Cambodia and teach for a short time I.E (3-5) months. I see many volunteer programs online but they all recall somewhat hefty fee's. I was very moved and impressed by cambodia during my trip there a few months ago and would like to help. Does anyone know any cheap/free volunteering/job opportunities..I am not a fussy person I dont need fancy things as I know what I am getting involved in.
I have 2 years experience in Korea. In addition by the time I want to goto cambodia I will be CELTA certified.
Any information would be great
thanks a lot all

Check this place out. You would be volunteering to teach English to adults. The money that they pay to attend school, goes towards helping the rural environment, orphanages, and a few other great causes.

There is no fee involved, and you can stay at the housing provided, and eat for free. Minimum stay is three months. |

Well I don't know if I could teach a full year there. I would like to spend a decent amount of time (3-5) months. In regards to working there how much in USD do people typically make. I'll have 2 years experience and a CELTA by the time ill go there.
Any recommendations and or advice would be appreciated

I guess my last question would be how do you go about finding a less than a year type job?...It appears you have been there a while so if you have any recommendations that would be great. Yeah that amount of money seemed about right I would mainly be teaching to see more of cambodia and try something different.
thanks |
