Why?
I've read Saudi labour law and have found it, so far as I can tell, to be fairly generous in the rights it allows to the foreign worker.
However just because one is allowed certain rights on paper does not by any stretch of the imagination mean that you will actually be treated accordingly. I would say that, however impressive Saudi labour law is on paper, when push comes to shove your employers can pretty much do as they wish.
Can, and do. |

Precisely, Cleopatra!
"Weep" due to the number of Labor law violations your contract reflects.
AND
"Weep" due to the violations evident in day-to-day workplace operations! |

I'm sure most contracts are in accordance with the labour laws.
However, in practice much goes on in many places which violates both the laws and the contracts. |
