Hi
I have looked at jobs advertised by the I Can Read centers and have seen some very negative comments about them on here. Was wondering if anyone has worked for them recently or is currently working for them and what they think?
Thanks |

From what I hear, the I Can Read centres are not a particularly good gig. If you have teaching qualifications, it would be best to consider International Schools where the pay and conditions are better. Otherwise, as a base level job it is OK. The main downside of I Can Read is the working hours. You work evenings and weekends which limits your social life quite a bit.
There is not really a big demand for TEFL/TESOL in Singapore at the moment so tuition/enrichment centres will hire people with degrees anf TEFL qualifications. |

Thanks for the response. Do you know if it is very competitive to get into the international schools? |
