When I did my TESOL training I was somewhat 'educated' to believe that ESL jobs were only available during the summer vacation.
Would some expert please enlighten me if teaching jobs abroad are available throughout the year, particularly as I'm a bit indecisive concerning my immediate and/or future plans?
I look forward to any replies. |

| Well, summer vacation is the worst time to try to find work in Turkey. If you want to work at a regular school you would start in September. Language schools hire on and off all year when they need teachers. |

| Most vacancies (for work to commence in the autumn) are filled in spring or early summer (before the exam/vacation period starts). However there are usually some vacancies at all times of year so you may get lucky whenever you apply. It helps if you are already in the country. |
