Things happened pretty quickly. I interviewed about 3 months ago for an ALT job and have been keeping in touch with them. I just heard on Monday that there is an opening for the upcoming school year. So I'll be leaving almost too soon!
I'll be in Nagoya.
I feel pretty overwhelmed trying to figure out everything - like what to bring what to wait and ship. I think it will work. I've got a plane ticket on hold (haven't paid yet but I have to soon). It looks like a roundtrip ticket is the best bet, unless there is an actual affordable open-ended type ticket that doesn't cost a fortune. Any better ideas from seasoned veterans?
Your thoughts are welcome. |

Look at item 15 in the FAQ list for starters.
Also, check out www.eltnews.com and read their suggestions in the Teaching Guide link. |

If you are a university student or still have acceess to your university email account (for verification purposes), you can get a cheap one-way on student universe travel. I've looked and found as cheap at $650 one-way to Japan from east coast USA. |

Thanks for the suggestions.
Glenski that Japan FAQ is great, extremely informative -- too bad their host uses popup ads, but what can you expect it is the Internet.
melirae -- too bad for me, I've been out of school too long. |
