Hi all

I'm recently arrived in Hanoi, just a big thanks to people who have responded to my questions thus far. Vietnam site continues to be informative and positive compared to many others.

I'm starting P/T with a school next week and I could really do with getting some private lessons lined up too. Is the best way through contacts? Or are there other ways eg advertising in newspapers etc?

I've got a PGCE, CELTA and 2 years exp in both. I'm not desperate for top money, but I want to be having a half decent living here too.

Thanks in advance

Slo-down and put some time in. Get yourself sorted out at some schools offering IETLS, ibt Toefl and what not. P/T hours can be found and pay is damn good. If they like you, you can always make an arrangement. That'll buy you time to meet people and it's up to you. Cheers.

Cheers Mickeyrex

Next question is how do I find the schools that offer these? Is it just a matter of ploughing through the internet? Is there a particular website that has this info??

Get some professional photos done and pick one to put on some business cards. Be creative with the design, you'll probably have to get a thousand minimum so pass them out to everyone you meet. Your phone will be ringing soon.

Get on a motorbike and get on at it. Cruise around a bit. As in goes on in these forums, you need to put your time in because it's unlikely you'll find a nipple for a direct contact. Cheers!
