I would like to know if once you have had a medical exam in the country you are leaving from (in my case, Turkey) then do you have to have another one in Saudi? I have a condition that they may or may not accept so I can take care of that with a doctor here in Turkey. But in Saudi it would be impossible to mask the problem. If I have to have another medical there, then I might as well quit wasting my time looking for a job there.

With jobs in the Gulf, you always have blood tests and an X-ray once you are in the country. Saudi is pretty much the only country that makes you do it all twice... both before and after.

So, if it shows up in a blood test... you're caught.

Yes, the blood tests, X-ray, and more...twice. Ludicrous.

Saudi does not accept medical examinations done in the UAE so my guess would be, they wouldn't accept anything from Turkey. If you go from the UAE, you go via Bahrain for the medical, visa, etc.

In spite of the truth of all that has been said in the above posts, I do know people who have gotten in with serious conditions even after the in-kSA medical tests for the simple reason that the university really needed them. There are ways around it, not for you but for them. I even heard a rumor that healthy blood and urine can be arranged to be substituted for unhealthy, provided that the university needs you badly enough. Again, it's something they would have to decide to do for you.

I've had three jobs in KSA. One made me repeat all the medical tests on arrival. One made me do a single blood test. The other did not ask me to repeat any medical exams at all. So, as so often, it depends on the employer.

It's now a regulation that all medical tests must be repeated on arrival in the Kingdom.

Right. Both of my last two employers there required a repeat of EVERY test.
