Hi
Can anyone remind me- Are elementary and beginner the same level?
Is the order like this:
Beginner/elementary
lower intermediate
intermediate
upper intermediate
advanced
Thanks |

You might also come across a term which confused me at first - 'false beginner'. This refers to someone, usually an adult, who is starting from scratch but studied in the past (i.e. at school), meaning there's usually some English buried in there somewhere. |

And some schools / systems place elementary below beginner, others don't use 'elementary' at all (I've heard of 'pre-beginner' in the past as well).
But yeah, 'false beginner' is very common. |
